LONDON – 19 May 2025: CyberCube, the leading cyber risk analytics provider for the (re)insurance industry, and Aviva plc, a UK insurer and a major provider of general and life insurance, have entered a strategic partnership that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help Aviva stay ahead of the increasing cyber threat.

As part of the partnership, Aviva will leverage the CyberCube “Portfolio Threat Actor Intelligence” product, alongside the CyberCube data-driven approach and unique suite of cyber analytics software to access unique intelligence on the operations of cyber threat actors and their targets of choice.

By utilising AI, and large language models (LLMs) in particular, the CyberCube service will assess vast amounts digital forensics data and details of data leaks linked to leading ransomware groups. This advanced analysis will allow Aviva to gain an in-depth insight into the dark side, how bad actors behave, what type of deployment tactics they use and the types of vulnerabilities they target.

This enhanced intelligence will enable Aviva to identify firms in its commercial portfolio sharing traits, technology dependencies or security weaknesses, which may make them a greater risk of certain cyber threat actors. This kind of precision in exposure management is a huge leap forward for the insurance industry to be able to be proactive around cyber risk.
