Ant International, a world’s leading digital payments and open ecosystem technology organization, has made a major progress on artificial intelligence when introduces its new AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) platform – Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit.
This will enable fintechs and super apps to create “AI-agentic” and “AI-native” financial services, offering better efficiency, security, and flexibility throughout the whole industry.
Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit forms the infrastructure for Ant International’s three-pillar AI strategy, with a social pursuit of AI security, vertical fintech specialist and full-stack AI platform support.
The platform is intended to simplify a range of fintech activities – from payment orchestration to customer onboarding and from compliance vetting to fraud checks.
They are also already working on the first integrations with external customers in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and the official roll out is planned for June 2025.
A key part of Ant International’s AI pledge is its “AI SHIELD” framework, which aims to combat the growing menace of AI-produced fraud, such as deepfakes.
This security framework takes care of the risk oriented comprehensive protection on system architecture, data processing, model training and inferencing, it runs through more than a hundred recognition models, with 600k risk key words, for real-time dynamic risk assessment.
Ant International has a fraud loss rate in its merchant payment service that is said to be only 5% of the industry average, highlighting the effectiveness of its security system.
The Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit encompasses over 20 leading Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Ant International’s proprietary Falcon Time-Series-Transformer FX Model. Importantly, we highlight to include such, large, fintechdomain knowledge bases in order to create highly specialized individuals agents for fintech.
An early use case, “Antom Copilot”, is an AI that helps merchants to integrate payment methods in the best way, suggesting the payment methods which would most likely to lead to success for that merchant, to automatically iterate and refine the integration further; and to automate the tasks like fixing code and completing onboarding documents.
That strategic AI push could signify Ant International’s transformation from a payments processor into a full-service AI platform vendor. Through serving its next generation AI as service, the company seeks to promote innovation and accelerate digitalization in the worldwide financial industry.
According to Ant International, the future of finance will be transformed by agentic AI that doesn’t just automate tasks but asks questions, changes over time, and becomes more accurate and consistent.
