Nebius Launches in UK: Enhancing AI Infrastructure with NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra

Nebius, an AI infrastructure company featured on Nasdaq, today announced its official launch in the United Kingdom, playing a part of its active expansion of AI infrastructure to global scale.

The strategic investment is centred on the installation of a large GPU-accelerated machine that will be part of the next-generation of NVIDIA’s development platform, known as the Blackwell Ultra platform, and will lead to a radical increase in the UK’s capability for training artificial intelligence systems.

Due to be fully operational by Q4 2025 the new infrastructure, which falls under the UK government’s “AI Opportunities Action Plan”, will enhance innovation across key sectors such as fintech, life sciences, and public services such as the NHS.

“We believe that the UK has the people, the skills and the culture to lead the world in the responsible and ethical use of AI” Arkady Volozh, Nebius Arkady Volozh founder and CEO of Nebius, said of the UK “Being here brings us close to the start-ups, researchers and companies who are developing this technology, and creating new products.”

The NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra platform, which is unmatched in its ability to deliver intelligence in AI Reasoning, AI Acting and Physical AI, will enable British d isruptors to create and deploy cutting-edge AI applications.

Dave Salvator, NVIDIA’s director of product and product marketing for accelerated computing products, said local infrastructure is vital and one that provides enterprises and startups in every country a launch pad into the world of AI, giving hopeful companies the freedom of choice to build their own AI-infused future.

This UK launch is the seventh global AI cluster location for Nebius, which further qualifies it as one of the world’s largest independent creators of AI infrastructure.

The company’s AI Cloud, supported by NVIDA’s newest accelerated computing platform, provides supercomputer performance with hyperscaler agility and is designed for the most challenging AI workloads. Nebius is also the first Europe-based company with Reference Platform NVIDIA Cloud Partner status.

In addition to delivering advanced computing power, Nebius’s UK team will focus on specialist projects in the areas of healthcare, biotech and financial services operating at the forefront of AI research.

With this combined approach, set along with substantial recent fund raises (including a $1bn debt raise as well as a $700m equity raise), Nebius is poised to take a leading role in the UK’s growing AI future, not only creating jobs but driving more investment into the U.K. digital economy.
