Dai-ichi Life Group, one of the world’s leading life insurance companies, and Capgemini, a global leader in business and technology transformation, announced a multi-year strategic partnership today to establish a Global Capability Center in India.

This landmark collaboration will significantly accelerate Dai-ichi Life Group’s digital transformation journey for its international operations. The new GCC in India will be a critical hub assisting Dai-ichi Life Group’s IT and digital strategies by utilizing India’s vast pool of skilled resources.

The center will be aiming to empower the insurer’s in-house digital capabilities and technology platforms, fostering innovation and driving immense operational value on a global scale. This will also help the Dai-ichi Life Group establish internal expertise in domains critical to the insurer.

While initially catering to Dai-ichi Life Group’s Japan, the United States, and Australia operations, the scope is expandable based on market dynamics and business patterns. The GCC will provide a diverse portfolio of digital capabilities, including cutting-edge software development, modernizing and maintaining infrastructure, revolutionary AI solutions, data solutions, and cybersecurity.

Capgemini will bring its track record as an end-to-end transformative partner in Japan, Asia Pacific and globally to ensure Dai-ichi Life Group’s comprehensive transformation.

The partnership will focus on co-innovating solutions that simplify functions, leverage data and AI to their full capacity, bolster cybersecurity mechanisms to ensure an enriching experience for all customers of Dai-ichi Life Group.

The deal is poised to bring unprecedented value to Dai-ichi Life Group, setting a new standard for operations and customer excellence. The establishment of GCC signifies the growing trend of large global brands utilizing India’s technological prowess to drive their digital ambitions.
