This expanded collaboration will see the widespread deployment of Google Workspace with Gemini, Google’s advanced generative AI, empowering BBVA’s over 100,000 employees worldwide with transformative capabilities.
The initiative marks a pivotal moment in BBVA’s ongoing digital transformation, a journey that began with Google Cloud in 2011. By embedding Gemini into daily productivity tools like Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, BBVA aims to unlock unprecedented levels of efficiency, innovation, and employee experience. Early internal reports indicate that automating repetitive tasks with AI is already saving BBVA employees nearly three hours per week on average, freeing up valuable time for more strategic, customer-centric work.

In tandem with this ambitious AI deployment, BBVA has launched a mandatory training program, “AI Express,” to ensure secure and responsible AI adoption.
