In a monumental achievement for the global tech community, Google Cloud has officially secured a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the “Largest AI Agent Training Event.” The record was set during the “Agentic AI Day,” a historic hackathon held in Bengaluru, India, in collaboration with Hack2skill. The event saw an unprecedented number of participants, solidifying Google Cloud’s position at the forefront of AI innovation and education.

The record-breaking event, which took place on July 27, 2025, brought together over 2,000 developers, forming more than 700 teams. These brilliant minds engaged in an intense 30-hour innovation sprint, tackling real-world challenges with the transformative power of Agentic AI. The electric atmosphere of the hackathon was a testament to the immense potential of AI and the passion of the developer community.

Participants at Agentic AI Day were tasked with solving six critical real-world problems, from managing city data overload and empowering teachers in multi-grade classrooms to improving safety at large public events. The winning teams developed functional MVPs that showcased the practical and impactful applications of AI. One winning team, for example, built an innovative platform to efficiently process and utilize vast urban data, while another created an offline-first AI platform to assist teachers with lesson preparation and personalized learning.

With over 57,000 registrations and more than 1 million online impressions, the interest in this initiative was immense. Developers were provided with continuous mentorship from Google experts, leveraging Google Cloud’s powerful AI ecosystem, including technologies like Firebase Studio, Google Cloud Vision API, and Gemini.

This historic accomplishment not only highlights Google Cloud’s commitment to fostering AI talent but also underscores the growing importance of AI agents in solving complex, real-world problems. By providing a platform for developers to explore and build with advanced tools, Google Cloud is paving the way for the next generation of AI-powered solutions.
