The SANS Institute, a global leader in cybersecurity training and certification, has announced the full agenda for its highly anticipated SANS Network Security 2025 event. Scheduled for September 22-27 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the conference will feature two prominent keynote speakers: esteemed cybersecurity researcher Dr. Nikki Robinson and Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President, C. Kelly Bissell.
SANS Network Security 2025 will tackle the most pressing issues facing the cybersecurity landscape today, offering a combination of in-depth training, expert-led keynotes, and exclusive networking opportunities. The event’s curriculum is designed for cybersecurity practitioners at every level, with courses covering a wide range of topics, including incident response, threat intelligence, cloud security, and digital forensics.
Dr. Nikki Robinson, who holds a DSc in Cybersecurity and a PhD in Human Factors, will deliver a keynote address on the escalating impact of vulnerability chaining. Her research focuses on combining the psychological and technical aspects of security to build more robust defense programs. Her session will provide practical strategies for mitigating these complex threats, a topic that has become a major concern for security teams globally.
In a separate session, C. Kelly Bissell, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Security, will participate in a fireside chat. He will share his insights on how organizations can effectively detect and mitigate fraud within increasingly complex cloud environments. Bissell’s expertise is expected to provide attendees with a direct line to cutting-edge strategies and tools being deployed by a major industry player to combat cloud-based threats.
“Both Bissell and Robinson are tackling issues that are keeping security teams up at night,” said Rob T. Lee, Chief of Research at the SANS Institute. “Cloud fraud and vulnerability chaining are not hypothetical scenarios. They are real and happening now, and our goal is to give practitioners a direct line to the strategies and tools they need to address them.”
In addition to the keynotes, the event will feature hands-on workshops, a Solutions Expo, and the popular Core NetWars Tournament. SANS Network Security 2025 will be available both in-person and virtually, with exclusive bonus content for those attending in Las Vegas.
