Kyndryl, a global leader in enterprise technology services, has announced it has joined the White House Pledge to America’s Youth: Investing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education. The company and its philanthropic arm, the Kyndryl Foundation, are now part of a coalition of more than 60 U.S. organizations committed to advancing AI literacy and skills among America’s youth.

The pledge, which is a key part of the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education, aims to equip the next generation with the tools and understanding necessary to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world. By signing on, Kyndryl is committing to provide resources, including funding, educational materials, and technical expertise, to help make AI education accessible to K-12 students across the United States.

“We believe that investing in the nation’s future workforce is an important responsibility and an opportunity to equip students with the skills and confidence they need to navigate the AI era,” said Martin Schroeter, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kyndryl.

The initiative aligns with Kyndryl’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts, which focus on promoting equitable access to technology-enabled education. The company has a history of collaborating with non-profits to address the global skills gap in critical technology fields like cybersecurity and AI. The Kyndryl Foundation has a track record of supporting programs that provide training and job placement opportunities, with a goal of impacting tens of thousands of individuals.

The White House initiative is a significant step towards creating a robust public-private partnership aimed at securing America’s technological leadership. By fostering early exposure to AI concepts and providing comprehensive training for educators, the program seeks to create a new generation of American AI innovators. Kyndryl’s participation underscores the private sector’s crucial role in preparing young people for the jobs of tomorrow and ensuring a diverse, skilled workforce for the future.
