In a major step toward revolutionizing urban mobility, Nota AI announced the successful conclusion of its participation at the Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress 2025 (ITSWC 2025), held in Atlanta. At the global event, the company showcased its new generative AI-based ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) solutions, which are designed to enhance traffic safety and management through advanced real-time analysis.

The core of Nota AI’s new offering is an intelligent incident detection system powered by a proprietary Vision-Language Model (VLM). Unlike traditional systems, this technology uses the VLM to analyze real-time video feeds and understand the context of what it “sees” on the road. This allows it to detect a wide range of hazardous situations, from traffic accidents and fires to road obstacles and unexpected events. A key feature is its ability to analyze the correlation between events, which helps to minimize unnecessary alarms and ensure a more reliable and responsive system.

During the conference, Nota AI also highlighted its AI-powered intelligent traffic management solutions. These systems analyze the movement of vehicles and pedestrians at a detailed level, enabling rapid alerts for emergency situations and improving overall operational efficiency. The company showcased a successful Proof of Concept (PoC) conducted in collaboration with Sony, which demonstrated a 100% accuracy in pedestrian safety management in an area prone to jaywalking accidents. This was achieved by applying Nota AI’s optimization technology to cameras equipped with Sony’s smart image sensors.

The innovations were presented in joint booths at both the Korea Pavilion, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), and at the LG CNS booth, underscoring strong domestic and international partnerships.

According to Myungsu Chae, CEO of Nota AI, the exhibition was a pivotal moment. “ITSWC 2025 was a pivotal opportunity to demonstrate the global competitiveness of our generative AI-based ITS solutions, built on both domestic and international partnerships,” he said. “Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our global presence and lead the future of smart city traffic management and mobility innovation.” The company’s focus on lightweight AI models for edge devices is poised to make advanced AI solutions more accessible and scalable for cities worldwide.
