Getting dressed is about to get a lot simpler thanks to the disruptive force of artificial intelligence. A pioneering new platform called Glance AI that has just been launched is set to change the way smartphone users view their wardrobes — by effectively turning their device into a personal stylist.
Created by consumer app company Glance, this AI-native commerce platform employs advanced generative AI and predictive analyticsto provide a totally unique and visual shopping experience.
Instead of endlessly clicking through online archives. Instead, Glance AI users can upload their selfie, or an image of themselves and automatically get bespoke outfit recommendations in photorealistic high detail.
It’s magic is based on a clever 3-layer architecture of Glance AI. Our Commerce Intelligence Model identifies global shopping trends and tracks consumer behaviour. The GenAI Experience Model applies this knowledge, as well as user-provided images, to create photo-realistic visualizations of how a range of outfits would look on the user, taking into account factors such as body shape and skin complexion.
Finally, the Transaction Journey Model integrates these visualized looks with actual, purchasable products from more than 400 international brands.
“Glance AI redefines how billions of consumers around the world will experience, view and shop,” said Naveen Tewari, Founder & CEO of Glance. “It’s replacing intention with inspiration and search with intelligent, autonomous agents.”
# Glance AI will initially focus on fashion and has a big vision to grow further in beauty, accessories, travel etc later in the year. The service is user-friendly and privacy-minded, and users remain in full control of their private information.
Currently available globally on Android and iOS, Glance AI has been in talks for deeper integrations with phone makers and carriers to offer such personalised styling to a larger pool of users.
Early tests in the U.S. resulted in “incredible” user engagement, with more than 1.5 million users making more than 40 million outfit requests in just a few weeks.
This disruptive technology will not only revolutionize the way to shop but it will also encourage people to try new looks and gain confidence with their style – all from the comfort of their own phone.
