Ways to Get USA Phone Number (+1) from Any Country

There are several ways to get a US phone number, whether you’re living in Canada, the UK, or any other country that doesn’t have a local United States dialling code. You can buy a virtual number from services such as GV connect and Pingo.com – at both of which you pick a region for your new subscriber ID and can check out its virtual number plan. GV Connect has a limited range of US states, while Pingo covers all 50 and offers 4-digit numbers that you can choose by state or city.

Alternatively, you could sign up to a local SIM card service such as Ultra Mobile which enables you to switch between international plans with different countries. You can then sign up for a US plan that includes the local contact number you need – it’s easy to switch between plans at any time.

Since many website forms will only accept an American telephone number, this method is good if your form isn’t working or you don’t have Pingo/GV Connect limitations. With these services, you can get a virtual number from the US, or sign up to a local SIM card with a US telephone number included for free.

All you need to do is enter the details on their websites and set up an account – you’ll often be charged monthly fees but some services will let you pay annually instead.

You must also remember that the US phone number you sign up for must be compatible with your cell phone or device. If it isn’t, then you may need to purchase a new SIM card for your country.

After setting everything up, you can use your American telephone number wherever you are in the world without any limitations – simply make sure that this service has coverage in your area.

How to Get US Number for FREE?

1. Get American Number from GV Connect

GV connect virtual phone numbers are available for $12.95 and allow you to call and text internationally as well as within the US and Puerto Rico. You can even use your number on multiple devices, so if you want an American number without spending money, this is a good choice. The downside is that you can’t call emergency numbers such as 911 and there are some limited features such as the ability to set up voicemail.

2. Activate Free US Phone Number on Ultra Mobile

Ultra Mobile is a virtual phone service that lets you use your own cell phone or device with the American number you want. As well as giving you a free US telephone number, you can also set up your Ultra SIM in the US for no extra charges – this will let you access all of America’s great cell phone benefits.

All you need to do is register on the website and choose from any of their international plans that offer American numbers included. You can then add your own device or cell phone to your account and use its US number anywhere in the world, allowing you to make and receive calls or text messages with ease.

The best thing about Ultra Mobile is that there’s no connection fee if you want to tether the number with your own device – this means you can maintain a US number without any extra costs. However, you must remember that you’ll be charged international rates when using the number outside of America.

3. Have an American Address on Pingo

Pingo is another virtual phone service for international travelers, with plans starting at $4.95 per month or $49.99 annually if you want to avoid monthly charges completely. The company is known for its low rates and great customer service – plus it offers a 30-day trial so you can try everything out without spending a dime.

The downside is that the virtual number must be from one of their available US states – although if you’re looking for an American phone number, this isn’t too much of a problem. All you need to do is choose your state and then follow the on-screen instructions.

The US virtual number for Pingo must be from a landline or cell phone that’s based in your chosen state – this means you won’t be able to use it if you’re not in America, but it also means there are no restrictions on making calls or sending texts.

The Best American Number to Get

When it comes down to choosing a virtual phone service that offers an American number, Pingo is the clear winner with no restrictions on the cell phone you use and nothing extra to pay. It’s great for international travelers who need to maintain connected and access all of America’s services without any trouble.

The downside? You can’t make calls or send text messages outside of America, so this service is only recommended to those who don’t travel. GV Connect and Ultra Mobile are two other great options that let you have an American number for free – just remember that your device must be compatible with the SIM card you’re using.

Remember that it’s also important to look at the rates you’ll be charged when using your virtual phone – some plans offer better rates than others. This is part of how these companies make money, so they need to charge more for their services in some cases.

There are a few drawbacks with virtual telephone number services, but they’re usually worth it if you need a local US phone number for your hotel or company. If you don’t have a cell phone that’s compatible with the service then this may not be best option – other than that, it should work well for most cases.

You can also buy a new SIM card with an American phone number to use on your device. This is the best option if you’re looking for a truly local experience – but it will cost more than signing up for virtual or shared telephone numbers. With this method, you need to first purchase a new SIM card and then choose how much credit you want in it.

Last Words!

Virtual phone services provide a quick and affordable way to have an American telephone number – they’re perfect for people who often travel between countries, but don’t want to miss out on anything from home. Most of them offer great rates and require no deposit, although you’ll need a compatible cell phone or device to connect.

However, if you want a truly local service, you can also buy a new SIM card and use this with an American telephone number. This is the best option if you want to travel around America or don’t mind paying extra for decent rates – but it’s quite expensive when compared to other options. In this case, you need to find a company that can send you a pre-paid SIM so you can choose how much credit you want and how long your plan will last.

Keep in mind that if you’re still using a very old cell phone then this may not be the best option – virtual phone services are mostly designed for modern devices that support 4G LTE data connections or 3G networks. Some companies offer older models, but these may not be compatible with your device. These services are the perfect way to connect when traveling abroad – just remember to do your research before committing.
