Atos, a global leader in digital transformation and cybersecurity, today officially opened its new Security Operations Center (SOC) in Qatar. This modern facility is a game changer for Atos’s growing global network of interconnected SOCs and represents a major commitment to expanding its cybersecurity capabilities in the Middle East.

The 40,000-square-foot SOC in Doha will support next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning security solutions, backed by vigilant human monitoring, to help enterprises identify, respond to and stop the latest, most sophisticated cyberthreats.

The rapid global need for such sophisticated solutions, particularly when faced with AI-enhanced threats, demonstrates the critical importance of strong SOC services.

Atos’ new SOC in Qatar, built for purpose, will deliver sovereign 24/7/365 Managed Detection and Response (MDR). It is built on industry-top technologies and proprietary platforms, using artificial intelligence and machine learning to predict and prevent threats, and evolve with ever-changing advanced attacks to ensure cyber resilience.

This high-assurance facility represents a significant step forward in strengthening the cybersecurity of the State of Qatar, protecting its critical digital assets, and enabling a secure environment for business continuation and national innovation.

The facility is the home of an expanding team of highly experienced cybersecurity experts, and is on track to double its head count in the space of the next six months. These pros will also monitor on an ongoing basis and respond in real time to cyberthreats, and put in place proactive threat detection, automatic response and rapid isolating of incidents. The Qatar-built team will be embedded within Atos’s global network of 6,500 security experts.

Commenting on the launch, Taha Mohsin, Head of Atos in Qatar, said, “We are pleased to announce the opening of our new Security Operations Center in Doha, demonstrating our investment in cybersecurity and in the regional ecosystem.

This center is a key component in defending the nation from cyber-attacks, enhancing arms, authorities and capabilities to operate in a more secure and resilient manner and broadening Atos’ global cybersecurity position.” The new SOC further strengthens Atos’ commitment to be the trusted AI-powered digital leader and sets a new market standard for cybersecurity services.
