Redington, the leading technology solutions aggregator and innovation catalyst across emerging markets, today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Illumio, the leader in breach containment.

This partnership will transform cyber defence in developing markets, bringing Illumio’s avanzada Zero Trust Segmentation platform to the volume business through Redington’s regional channel network.

At a time when the cyber threat landscape is growing and increasing in sophistication, and where ransomware that circumvents traditional perimeter defenses is a pressing threat, this partnership provides a much needed solution for strong internal protection. Illumio’s technology is designed to thwart lateral movement – the way attackers move through a network after they have made a first breach.

Leveraging the tenets of Zero Trust, Illumio Segmentation empowers organizations to proactively secure their most critical assets, contain attacks and drive their overall cyber resiliency in any IT environment, across both multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

“Based on a Forrester Total Economic Impact™ study, Illumio’s technology has demonstrated a 66% decrease in the blast radius of attacks, which provides for a significant amount of cost savings by mitigating risk exposure. In addition, ransomware emulation tests run by Bishop Fox showed that Illumio can stop the spread of an attack up to nearly four times faster than if you were only depending on detection and response capabilities.

Redington also will be instrumental helping to shape Illumio’s channel program strategy within rapid-growth markets, building out end-to-end partner enablement programs, and scaling Illumio Segmentation go-to-market traction throughout the region.

This extends to channel partners with detailed technical training, strategic advice services, and support for deployment at first hand. This partnership between Illumio’s innovative technology and Redington’s market reach and cybersecurity knowledge will allow organisations to create genuine cyber resilience and avoid the risk of cyber catastrophes.

“Our collaboration with Illumio serves as a testament of Redington’s continued efforts to drive the latest and niche in Cyber Security to our partners and customers in emerging markets,” Redington said. “In today’s dynamic threat environment, Zero Trust Segmentation is no longer a choice, it’s a must.

With an extensive channel ecosystem, we are uniquely positioned to drive the adoption of this fundamental solution and help our partners provide real cyber resilience to their customers.”

[Spokesperson Name and Title, Illumio]“we are excited to come together with Redington to deliver added value to our customers across the growing markets and help them for the challenges of the modern-day cyber threats with both speed and confidence.

“Illumio’s breach containment system, built on top of our AI Security Graph, along with Redington’s market leadership and expansive reach, will play an important role in enabling companies to thwart cyberattacks from turning into complete cyber catastrophes.

Illumio Segmentation coexists with Illumio Insights, an AI-driven Cloud Detection and Response (CDR) solution, to create the Illumio Platform as a whole. It offers security teams the capability to reduce the attack surface, quickly detect threats, and shut down breaches system-wide in real-time.

Redington and Illumio are proud to bring much-needed cybersecurity to businesses in growth economies and to do our part to help them succeed in an ever-more-digital business world without the daily terror of severe cyberattacks.”
