Apple has joined forces with Japanese fashion house Issey Miyake to launch iPhone Pocket, a stylish 3D-knitted accessory that lets you carry your iPhone in a fresh, wearable way. Announced on November 12, this limited-edition item turns your phone into part of your outfit, with stretchy fabric that holds not just your device but everyday essentials too. It’s a smart mix of tech and design, available starting November 14 at select Apple Stores and online in several countries.

  • Design: Single 3D-knit piece inspired by “a piece of cloth,” fits any iPhone and expands for cards or AirPods.
  • Styles: Short strap in 8 colors (lemon to black) for $149.95; long strap in 3 colors for $229.95.
  • Wear It: Handheld, bag-tied, or body-worn, ribbed texture shows contents subtly when stretched.
  • Availability: Starts Nov 14 at Apple Stores and apple.com in US, UK, Japan, and more; made in Japan.

The iPhone Pocket comes from a close partnership between Miyake Design Studio and Apple’s team, pulling from Issey Miyake’s pleat legacy for a lightweight, versatile carrier. Its open rib structure echoes the brand’s iconic folds, offering stretch and breathability while keeping your iPhone snug. Stretch it open, and you get a peek at the screen or items inside, perfect for quick checks on the go. With colors like peacock blue or cinnamon orange, it pairs with any iPhone shade, letting you mix for a personal look.

As Yoshiyuki Miyamae from Miyake Design Studio put it, the pocket celebrates the iPhone-user bond with simple, open-ended style, much like Issey Miyake’s philosophy of undefined possibilities. Apple’s Molly Anderson added that it matches their focus on craft and joy, designed to blend with iPhones, AirPods, and daily bits. Crafted in Japan, it’s a nod to shared values, turning carrying tech into something fun and tailored.
