In a groundbreaking event that brought together global and national experts, the A.J. Institute of Management (AJIM) hosted a one-day international conference on Friday, titled “Transforming Management Paradigms: AI for a Dynamic Business World.” The hybrid-mode conference, held on the institution’s campus, served as a crucial platform for academicians, industry leaders, researchers, and students to discuss the profound impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on modern business and management practices.

Director of AJIM, Dr. J. Swapna Shetty, opened the conference by emphasizing AI’s pivotal role in reshaping business landscapes. “Continuous learning and adaptability are no longer optional but essential for future managers,” she said, highlighting the urgent need for professionals to embrace this technological shift. This sentiment was echoed by Executive Director Dr. T. Jayaprakash Rao, who underscored AI’s importance in driving innovation and shaping the future of business.

The highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Durgadas Shetty, Co-founder and CTO of Primsophic, Mangaluru, who provided valuable insights into AI’s real-world applications and its transformative potential across various industries.

A significant part of the conference was the paper presentation sessions, which saw an overwhelming response with 62 research papers presented by participants from over 20 institutions. Students Ayishah Azzah, Mohammed Ahshaan Kamil, and Mohammed Akeef Akbar from Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science and Commerce won the “Best Paper Presentation Award” in the student category.

The successful organization of this conference underscores AJIM’s commitment to staying at the forefront of management education and equipping its students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in an AI-driven world.
