A player in the field of self-balancing robot aide, Wandercraft has reported successfully raising a $75 million in its Series D. This significant investment will be used to support the company in expanding its AI Robotics solutions for markets globally in rehabilitation, personal mobility, and industrial applications as it accelerates its ambitious expansion plans.

The round was dominated by key investors including Renault Group, PSIM fund (managed by Bpifrance), Teampact Ventures and Quadrant Management, and also included LBO France and Mutuelles Impact among others. A great show of confidence in Wandercraft’s unique technology and the promise it holds for changing the game in human-robot relations.

The company will use the new funding to expand its product range: it has secured FDA clearance for its exoskeleton Atalante X, which is already available at over 100 hospitals and rehab centers across the globe.

A significant portion of such work will also focus on the commercialization of Eve, the first ever self-balancing personal exoskeleton, designed to provide hands free walking for people with severe mobility limitations at home, outdoors or both, with potential for the first market release by 2026.

In addition to healthcare, Wandercraft is active in the field of industrial robotics. The Series D investment will also help working its way towards product release, including Calvin-40, a industrial-grade humanoid robot optimized for heavy duty work. Through a partnership with Renault Group, Calvin-40 is set to be used in Renault’s factories as an example of increased synergy between advanced robotics and industrial automation.

Wandercraft CEO and Co-founder Matthieu Masselin was excited about the momentum they were gaining: “this round enables us to pursue our mission of changing lives, changing the way people live, move and work, both in rehabilitation homes and soon on factory lines.” The company’s AI-powered solutions, which have been fine-tuned through billions of simulations, have the potential to revolutionize autonomy and economy in several industries worldwide.
