Ant International Unveils AI Travel Assistant Built into E-Wallets, Super Apps
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Ant International today announced the launch of Alipay+ Voyager, a innovative AI-powered travel assistant seamlessly integrated into top digital wallets and super apps. This innovative solution aims to revolutionize the travel experience by offering complete, real-time support from planning to in-destination services, all within the familiar environment of a user’s preferred e-wallet.

Alipay+ Voyager leverages Ant International’s advanced agentic AI capabilities and its extensive cross-border travel ecosystem, which connects over 100 million merchants through Alipay+ and its online travel agency (OTA) partners like Agoda, Fliggy, and Trip.com. The service provides text or voice-based assistance in local languages for everything from itinerary planning and booking to accessing on-the-ground services such as ride-hailing, public transport, shopping, and dining.

Initially rolled out in three of Asia’s largest mobile wallets – Alipay (Mainland China), AlipayHK (Hong Kong SAR), and GCash (Philippines) – ahead of the bustling summer travel season, Ant International plans a broader deployment to more Alipay+ payment partners throughout 2025. This strategic integration directly into digital wallets means users no longer need to switch between multiple apps, streamlining their travel journey significantly.

Douglas Feagin, President of Ant International, emphasized the evolving demands of modern travelers. “Travellers today rely on technology to elevate their journeys, and the industry must evolve to meet these expectations,” he stated. “By embedding a proactive AI travel assistant in the digital wallets consumers already trust, we’re enabling more personalised, real-time engagement throughout every phase of travel.”

Alipay+ Voyager boasts several key features designed to enhance the user experience, including intelligent end-to-end assistance, real-time local integration, and proactive curation that anticipates user needs based on preferences and real-time conditions like flight delays or weather changes. For merchants and OTAs, it offers a new growth gateway, providing easy access to key regional and global markets through a single deployment across major e-wallet platforms.

This launch underscores Ant International’s broader AI strategy, which also includes the Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit platform, aimed at extending AI services across various industries and empowering fintechs with advanced AI solutions. With the online travel market projected for substantial annual growth, and mobile accounting for two-thirds of traffic, Alipay+ Voyager positions Ant International at the forefront of delivering effortless, mobile-first travel solutions for a new generation of travelers.
